About the Movie

“Ghosts of Anbar” is a movie based on true events in Iraq’s war-torn Anbar Province, an area controlled by ISIS. A group of kids help a kidnapped American girl escape, and in the process they discover their strength, learn to work together, and gain respect for one another. But the ISIS rebels are planning a big operation, and desperately need to find the kids. What ensues will be talked about for years, paving the way for stronger, more compassionate and supportive young adults in our future.

DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT:

“Our primary goal is to give the youth a larger than life connection with one another, allowing them to ‘see themselves’ in these circumstances, visualizing their ability to overcome obstacles and succeed in reaching their goals.”
